ON THE OTHER SIDE!
Hello from the desk of the Alliance. It’s nice to be sitting in the office with power, internet, and our team together. I want to say thank you to the front-line utility providers of our area. Working in adverse, dangerous conditions through two winter ice storms has been hard on everyone. I also want to thank our government partners. Their response and messaging to help neighbors and family was spot on for all to get to the other side of this.
We found a spring in our step this week getting back to the job of helping you and our community. On Thursday John Spears, CPA & Partner at Kelley Galloway Smith Goolsby, PSC and Alliance treasurer for life (Haha!) presented a Lunch and Learn on 2021 Taxes. His timely information will make a difference for all that attended the virtual event. We have not let this year long pandemic pass by without learning a few lessons ourselves along the way. We are streaming events and making more of our content and services available to you online. Never waste a good crisis.
We had a ribbon cutting today at the Ashland Town Center for Girl Scouts of America and two more ribbon cuttings next week. It is always a great day when we get to celebrate the opening of a new business. Supporting the entrepreneurs in our community is an honor for the Alliance. Let us make today and the longer days to come the nest they can be for all of us. The Alliance is here to help. We look forward to days when we can get together and celebrate what makes this a special community to call home. We also know we need to apply the lessons of this pandemic.
