A BRIGHTER HORIZON
Hello from the desk of the Alliance! Today I want to take a different track on our update to you, our members. This week was a special week. It was a week that we had a chance to market who we are and what we have to offer. Usually the economic development side of the house is silent running until there is the correct time to share the news. At this point, I have no idea if we’ll reach that time from this week’s projects. I am happy, however, we had the chance to pitch and show the world this great community.
COVID has been and continues to be hard on everyone in the business community. It is important for you to know there is hope out there. This week we have worked on an expansion of an existing company and a recruitment for a new one. We have also signed a contract for lead generation services for economic development. This allows us to be matched to companies that have expressed an interest in expansion and it gets us in front of others that we may compete against. This economic development initiative was grant funded by Kentucky Power. As members of the Alliance I thought it was important for you to know we are in fact working towards a brighter economy.
Along the way we sat down with you and continued asking what you need and how we can help you along the way. Donuts were handed out and our staff is working hard to show how to make ends meet in this new business environment.
