Hello from the desk of the Alliance. Each week we try to bring to you useful information for navigating this new world of COVID and business. I think we have stressed the fact that we, like each one of you, are finding our new normal and new ways to reach those that need our services and to assist our members. We have started delivering Dave’s Doughnuts again each Friday Morning. If you would like to have a few smiling faces stop by give us a shout here at the office.
There is a few pieces of information we need to share. There is another round of Federal Financed PPP or Payroll Protection Plan to help keep your workers in the job! We have several Alliance Member banks happy to help you even if you’re not a member of their bank.
We hosted a Ribbon Cutting for the Mill Cafe & Bakery located at 207 15th St. It was a great, socially distant success. For those of you who couldn’t make it, you can find more details on our Facebook page. August 1st we will be having another ribbon cutting for Whit’s Custard & Coffee Bar on Winchester Ave. at 11AM.
Finally, did you know the City of Ashland and all of Boyd and Greenup Counties are part of the Port of Huntington? This Ohio River Port is the second largest inland river port in all of the United States by tonnage. Also with Marathon Marine being here in Catlettsburg, we have one of the largest barrage fleets in America. There are so many things about this community that makes us special. We are here to serve you! Enjoy the heat and let’s make our community the best it can be.
