WHAT A WEEK!

Hello from the desk of the Alliance. Kari, here! This has been a crazy week! Crazy good, nonetheless. This morning we had the honor of partnering with ACTC for a job and internship fair. It was a huge success and definitely the first of many. The students and employers present had a great time with loads of successful conversations. This kind of event is especially important to us because it gives us the opportunity to be a part of helping students find their careers…. and that’s just pretty darn cool. The only downside is having to leave the door prizes for the students. Was really hoping no one would claim the Ipad or the flat screen TV…

We had two very successful ribbon cuttings in Russell. Congratulations, Buff City Soap & Members Choice Credit Union. Thank you to everyone who joined us both in-person and online! Who doesn’t love a well attended ribbon cutting on a beautiful, SNOWY spring day….? Members Choice, I apologize for not being able to read Susan’s lips when she was desperately trying to inform me that the bow was flipped upside down while we were filming the LIVE stream. From now on, there will be no droopy bows on my watch.

If you haven’t yet, comment/like/share the LIVE streams on our Facebook page. It helps the business’ visibility, and ours, as well. Next on the ribbon cutting trail is First National Bank this Tuesday 4/27 at 11:30 AM in Boyd County. We hope to see you there!

Wednesday the 28th is our Business of the Month’s Open House. Drop by The Edge Business Center between 9:30 AM and 6 PM to celebrate the unveiling of their Small Business Block. The Edge is home to 14 unique, local businesses… and let me tell ya, you’re going to want to check this place out. I’m not just saying that because they’re our Business of the Month or because I think the Patterson family might be the coolest family in the region… The Edge is seriously awesome. The Dragon Fly Cafe Food Truck will be serving lunch for purchase between 11 & 2. That is obviously the time frame that I will be present. 😉

Have a wonderful weekend! We appreciate each of you!!
