Hello from the desk of your Ashland Alliance. We’ve had a busy week welcoming new businesses to our area and working with those looking for a new location in North East Kentucky. On Thursday evening, the Alliance was proud to partner with United Way and their Board Members for their annual campaign kickoff. A significant crowd came out to network, eat and celebrate the excellent work of our United Way.
Today the Alliance welcomed Food Coma and their Cajun-style food in Summit with a fun & tasty ribbon cutting! This Saturday, we are in South Ashland for another new business opening. So Ash Haberdash is a men’s and women’s boutique specialty shop opening at 2036 29th Street in South Ashland. Their ribbon-cutting celebration is this Saturday, April 15 at 11 am.  Please come out and have a great time with owners Laura Geremia Reaves and her husband, David Reaves.
The Ashland Alliance also continues to work on bringing industry to the region. We are preparing for a site visit next week and have received two new proposal requests in the last ten days. The amount of activity in new recruitment is more substantial now than in my last nine years here at the Alliance.
We are here to support you and your business in Greenup and Boyd Counties and every city in between. We look forward to celebrating the arrival of Spring and sharing with the world what makes NE Kentucky a great place to live and work.
