This week marked the return of the Lunch and Learn series was a big success! Even with the inclement weather (icy morning, lots of cancellations around the region), we were at standing room only in the Ashland Visitors Center’s conference room.  A lively discussion about working together and helping each other grow was the focus, with Scott speaking about the role of the Ashland Alliance and its position as the regional chamber of commerce for Boyd and Greenup counties.  Brandy Clark spoke about the tremendous growth and interaction that Visit AKY has had, with over 800 events last year alone.  Also on hand to field questions about the city and growth was commissioner Josh Blanton, who always brought great perspective to our topics.  We thank our members and attendees that came to be a part of the series…stay tuned for details on next month’s Lunch and Learn!

Busy week for the Alliance. Federal Grant Programs were applied for the needed infrastructure that drives our growth. Web Site Development is taking place to implement the Strategic Communication Plan underway. We are working with our Youth Leadership Group and looking forward to their graduation.
