Downtown Ashland business truly does has something for everyone

ASHLAND, KY — Shop Local, Shop Small! This is the tagline for many communities this year, especially Boyd and Greenup Counties. The Ashland Alliance has chosen a small, locally owned gift shop as Business of the Month for December 2020.

Christian Alexander Home is located at 1505 Carter Avenue in Ashland. Owned by Greenup County native, Jonathon Jordan, it is a gift shop that truly has something for everyone. When you first walk into the shop you know you have stepped into a well designed place of fine things. The store carries a wide range of everything from baby gifts, home decor, Rada cutlery, to home fragrances such as fine milled soaps and hand poured candles. Jordan has done an excellent job gathering unique items for his customer base to give as gifts as well as to decorate their own homes, both for the Holiday Season as well as year round.

Jordan also has a budding Hallmark store. His selections include beautiful cards and gift items. New Hallmark merchandise comes in almost daily, so you never know what you will find.

Currently, the store has truly “Decked the Halls” for Christmastime. There are tree ornaments of every color, many of them hand-blown glass and even better most are 25% off. There are fluffy snowmen, twinkling Santa’s and mischievous elves throughout the store, many already discounted and ready for your home or the home of a friend.

Jordan has partnered with the Ashland Alliance, the Chamber of Commerce for Greenup and Boyd Counties since he opened his doors almost two years ago. When asked why he is a member of the Alliance his answer was simple. “The Alliance is the backbone of business community. They help me with networking, hosting events, marketing and advertising. They also keep me informed about the local business community as well as state and federal issues that might impact my business.”

Customers should stop by the shop Tuesday thru Saturday, during the hours of 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. to find marvelous gifts for their friends and family. Jordan can help with any budget and you are sure to find something that is on everyone’s Christmas list.
