YPA Point Challenge
The Young Professionals Association board has decided to implement a point system to encourage our members to get involved in the YPA and our community. Participation in this is voluntary and not required to be a YPA Member.
Every year, from October through September, YPA members can earn points from attending events and volunteering in the community. Any member with 50 or more points by September 30, will automatically be nominated for YPA member of the Year, and the membership will then vote on the member of the year.
You also have a chance to win prizes (like free lunch at our networking lunch) and can be chosen to be our featured YPA member on the YPA website. Additionally, members are only eligible to serve on the Board if they obtain 50 points per year.
We would love your feedback or suggestions, but more importantly, we would love for you to get involved and have fun with the YPA.
Here is the list of ways to earn points:
YPA POINT SYSTEM from 2015-2016 — Points
Attend YPA or Ashland Alliance Event — 5
Represent YPA at Philanthropic Event — 5
Post Picture on YPA Page at YPA Event or showing YPA Members out in Community — 1
Serve on YPA Committee or the YPA Board — 10
Backpack Program; for each backpack you fill — 2
Sponsors for Firkin Fest; for each $100 in sponsorships you obtain — 5
YPA Canned Food Drive; 1 point for 10 canned foods — 1
Serve on Board of Non-Profit or Community Organization; 5 points for each board — 5
Volunteer for Non Profit (2 points for each time you volunteer) — 2
Successfully Recruit New Member — 10
Bring Guest to YPA or Ashland Alliance Event — 2
Goal of 50 points per year
The YPA will take attendance at meetings and Ashland Alliance Events, so please be sure to sign in and update your points at our events.
You can also send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to update your points (but please, just once per month). You must be a YPA member in good standing (dues paid) to be eligible.
