RUSSELL, Ky. — A new restaurant called Wings Etc. Grill & Pub will now officially be located in the Russell Plaza.
On Friday C3 Partners Russell LLC closed on the property, located next to the Best Western Hotel, which was owned by Cartee Land Development Inc. dba Arby’s. Cartee Land Development Inc. owns and develops the property within the plaza, which also houses the Golden Corral, Gold Star Chili and Arby’s.
“This is just another transaction to help further develop that property,” said Ben Cooksey, attorney CFO for Cartee Land development Inc., adding that the area sold is slightly over an acre.
Cooksey compared Wings Etc. to Buffalo Wild Wings and Roosters and said the restaurant will be able to take advantage of the “moist” alcohol laws in Russell, noting it will include a bar.
Cooksey explained that C3 Partners Russell LLC, a company out of Indianapolis, will own the land and will build the restaurant. The company will then lease the building out to a franchisee that will oversee the restaurant and pay the company rent. Local entrepreneur Ray Davis will run the restaurant, he said.
