Ashland Alliance

President’s Report - Nov 18, 2016

Thank you for the opportunity to share the activities and opportunities of the Alliance with you and our community. The holiday season is in the air and the Winter Wonderland season is in full swing. Hopefully each one of you will find something to enjoy and share with your business and family members over the holidays. Last night Desco Federal Credit union sponsored the Festival of Trees and Trains Business After Hours at the Paramount Arts Center.

This annual event hosted approximately 300 people and offered them the opportunity to see the trees and trains and help raise money for the Paramount Women’s Association.

The Alliance is also involved in other things that represent how we can help our community. This month we held session 3 of 7 for the Youth Leadership Program. They visited Safe Harbor, Community Hospice and The Neighborhood-Neighbors Helping Neighbors Community Center. Here they helped serve meals to those in need and assisted in The Dressing Room hanging clothes and assisting with other needs.  It shows them how there are those that need a helping hand and how each one of them can give back.

Finally, if you didn’t have the opportunity to attend the Ashland Alliance Annual Dinner held on October 20 here is a video. Governor Paul Patton was the featured speaker.

Thank you for the opportunity to build a stronger community and to share all our area has to offer.
