ASHLAND, Ky. — Downtown Ashland will be the new location for Infusion Solutions’s corporate headquarters.
The home infusion and specialty pharmacy is relocating from its Mall Road location above Super China Buffet, bringing their 28 employees to the Putnam Building on the corner of 16th Street and Winchester Avenue.
Its new location will be directly across the street from Community Trust Bank and the Braidy Industries corporate headquarters.
According to the Infusion Solutions website, the business provides Infusion IV Therapy, which involves the administration of medication through a needle or catheter. They work with home health nurses who have extensive experience in the delivery of the highest quality care and the education of patients and families on home IV therapy.
Community and Economic Development Director Chris Pullem said the city is fortunate to have the business stay in town, explaining there is always a risk that local businesses that expand may want to relocate to other areas.
“(Infusion Solutions Executive Director Blake Gillum) is very proud to be in Ashland ... he understands there is a bright future in downtown Ashland and wants to be a part of it,” Pullem said.
Pullem said the city has assisted Gillum with the selection of the new headquarters, walking through different properties with him and helping him become aware of any potential structural issues he may encounter with each.
The business’ new space was chosen through Crescent Moon Properties. Pullem said Infusion Solutions plans to refurbish the building and wasn’t certain of the timeframe of when it will be completed.
“We’re looking forward to the renovation,” he said.
