ASHLAND - Competition heats up the weekend following the Super Bowl as Ashland in Motion hosts The Gravy Bowl, Ashland’s first biscuit and gravy competition, and challenges the community to get their gravy in the game and see how it measures up on the playing field.
The Gravy Bowl is scheduled for10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, at Park Place, located at 1701 Central Avenue.
The event features biscuit and gravy sampling crafted by local restaurants and community organizations. Gravy entries are featured in three categories: sawmill gravy (meat gravy), country gravy (meatless gravy), and a freestyle category.
In addition to sampling, the event also features football-themed games and challenges.
Admission to The Gravy Bowl is open to the public; sampling is redeemed through ticket purchase. Tasting tickets may be purchased on-site the day of the event. Individual tasting tickets are $1 or six (6) tickets for $5.
