Quick Lane Tire & Auto Center (April 24)
ASHLAND, Ky. — One of the newest tire and auto centers in the area had its grand opening and ribbon-cutting on Thursday. Quick Lane Tire & Auto Center, 2129 Winchester Ave., has been open since December but business has really picked up steam lately, said store manager Cody Wright.
“We’ve been busy,” he said. “It really started picking up some when we started advertising.”
Wright said the store, which formally housed Highlawn Carpet, offers the “lowest price for a tire, guaranteed. We’ll beat anyone’s price,” he said.
The center services all makes and models and appointments aren’t necessary. They do oil changes, alignments, brakes, batteries, tires, fluid changes, air conditioner service and light maintenance. The center offers 13 major brands of tires.
Quick Lane Tire & Auto Center is a nationwide brand with more than 700 stores, said assistant manager Brian Smith. However, it must be connected with a Ford dealership. Boyd County Ford, owned by Fannin Motors, operates the new business.
The store is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Friday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday

PRINCESS, Ky. — Tin Woof Inn is owned and operated by Scott and Gale Templeton. It is a boutique boarding facility with 75 sq. ft. of indoor/outdoor runs and upgraded suites as well as dedicated cat boarding. Your pet will be in climate controlled comfort during the day and romp in one of seven play yards in the mornings and afternoons.
This facility has been built with state-of-the -art design and materials with your pet’s comfort and safety in mind. They have used only Priefert brand kennel panels, the best in the industry (no chain link!). The 2 acre premises is enclosed by a 6′ tall security fence and has more than 2,600 feet of fencing to protect and secure your pet. Unlike many home based boarding facilities their 4,300 sq. ft. building was approved by the State of Kentucky and is finished with USDA approved materials with 3 separate heating and cooling zones. Pets are kept in one of three main kennel areas. While most of our units are the same 75 sq. ft.

The facility has 24 hour monitored alarm service and 16 cameras with remote access to make sure every pet is safe and secure. All units have raised beds for your pets comfort. They also have both music and TV available in all kennel areas. These “distractions” are designed to help minimize stress with ambient noise and create more of a home like atmosphere.
